Moraine Campground offers a spacious and well-maintained environment, perfect for family camping and exploring nearby Kings Canyon. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, excellent hiking opportunities, and beautiful views, with a refreshing river nearby for cooling off. However, the campground is known for bear activity, which can lead to noise from car alarms at night, and some facilities may need improvement, such as bathroom cleanliness and better food storage education. Overall, it’s a lovely camping spot with room for improvement.

The campground was almost deserted so that was nice. Sites are decent, not a lot of privacy but that’s the usual. Not many flat sites and some were on quite a slant. Facilities were a little dated but clean.

Really enjoyed our time here! Quiet, felt like plenty of space, and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Bathrooms were also very clean!

This was a very quiet site, with the exception of bears knocking over garbage bins. There are many trails to take. My favorite destination was Boydens Caverns.

Gorgeous campground. Fewer trees than sentinel, but better views. We have a campervan and noticed that a lot of parking spots point directly at the adjacent campsite, which was a little weird, but not a deal-breaker. Some sites have (somewhat steep) access to King's River - if you're looking for that, aim to book a site on the river side on the west end of the campground - east of site 95 the topography climbs and it's more of a cliff down to the river. Bathrooms are clean enough, basic, and somewhat far apart. Water spigots are also pretty spread apart.
If you have a van or RV, the nearest threaded spigot for water refill / RV dump is Princess CG.
Bring a headnet with you to King's Canyon – the "face flies" don't bite, but they are annoying, and they don't care whether you have bug spray.

We were in the 20's sites and they were awesome. The bathrooms were nice enough and the area was the best there is. Kings Canyon is the place to be.

Vehicles over 22 ft are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum when entering through Sequoia National Park. Vehicles over 22 ft should use the Kings Canyon National Park Entrance.
