What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Sentinel Campground is incredible. It’s quiet and the sites are spacious. The restrooms are a little grungy, but just from age, not poor cleaning.
The campground is deep within Kings Canyon. It’s a long drive to get to Sequoia. I wasn’t aware of this when booking and hadn’t planned on so much car time during my visit.
I’m sure it’s easier when other visitor centers and community areas are open, but it was also a pain to get to the main visitors center for wood and other supplies.
That said, I did have a spectacular visit and would return to this location on future visits.

As close to nature as you can get. Yet convenient bathrooms. The river close to where I stayed (159) made a nice ambient noise that makes you love nature.

Great campground with diverse site options. Only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed our site on the outer loop. I caught and released two trout in the morning before leaving the site. We even enjoyed an ice cream cone at Kings Canyon Lodge on our way out. We will be back to Sentinel again.
