What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

IF the restrooms had been open, the showers had been working, and the Ranger had checked our reservations,
and the river had water in it, it would have been a fair trip. I had not been down to the Kings Canyon area in 40 years, and it was a bit of disappointment that there is no water.

This campground is quite and close to river. Amenities are enough and close by. You need to drive about one hour after entering the kings canyon national park. Roads are winding, so pay extra caution if you drive at night. Enjoy your trip here

It was right in the middle of everything - we could walk to all the trail heads we wanted to hike. There was a commotion one night when someone tried to "first-come-first-serve" squat on the site next to us, and then the real reservation owners showed up. The squaters did not want to move and the ranger had to come resolve the issue. But all became harmonious after that was resolved.
