Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

The staff at the camp were very helpful. We had a situation with our campsite and they moved us to a better site. The restrooms are suoer clean. It's a beautiful campground.

Sentinel campground was amazing, perfect weekend getaway. The river was right behind our campsite. The campsite it self was a good size. The only downfall for us was we think there should be signs to the trails. Yes we got a map, but the maps aren’t the greatest. Just a little thing.
They have a visitor center, and a ranger station on site, and within walking distance a store and quick service restaurant!

Great camping spot, not near the neighbors and further down so to not hear that much noise. Near the services and very close to the village and store. Rangers are friendly and the closeness to the river makes it very pretty

Nice campsite but a sprightly sloped so table and tent were at an angle. However the campground was well kept and there was water accessible, bear trash cans and bathrooms. The bathrooms did not have lights or soap, but grateful for the toilet 😆
The ranger was awesome.

The campgrounds were nice and the location is very convenient. This exact spot was not very secluded, and nearby campers were disruptive, so take that into consideration when planning and thinking what experience you want. Rangers and facilities were all great, so no problems there. Just nearby campers.

Sentinel in the Fall is very nice. We set up camp in the early afternoon and remarked that it sure didn't seem full. So we were surprised when the ranger told us later that it was fully reserved that day. The spaces are far enough apart and well placed so it sure doesn't "feel" full. Camp was quiet and there were never crowds at the facilities. The Cedar Grove lodge is walking distance and we ate there one night. Food was good and price was definitely reasonable. Oh, and the staff was very cheerful. We fished up at Road's End and Zumwalt but not at Sentinel. There are spots but the river gets a lot of swimmers from the campground so we went to less crowded spots. No cel coverage for ATT but was able to text message via satellite. Not fast but doable if you need to get a quick message out. All in all a place to visit in the Fall.
