What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

This was my first camping at a National Park campground. The experience was great, even though there is a federal shutdown going on. The downside was that visitor centers were closed. Every day we had rangers doing patrols by the morning and they where really helpful with tips and solving questions. The campground was really relaxing and campers around us very respectful. The toilets were working and clean!

The site fit perfectly for our 30ft Class C motorhome and Jeep. And clise to the restrooms - when I found it the next morning. What woyld be helpful is a solar powered light to see where the restrooms are in the dark.
Let me also give a shout out to the two rangers that were on site. Though my son's 40ft motorhome would have fit in site 71, getting out of the park woyld have been impossible. The two rangers worked wirh him to get another site that he could back into, then drive out at checkout time. Great customer service. I wish I had their names.

One of the two toilets was broken. Water in bathroom sink was also broken. I pointed these out to the ranger on the first day of our 4-day visit but nothing was done. Campground itself was very pleasant but the broken bathroom facilities was really unfortunate.

Remote, quiet campground (at least in October) with nice spots with big trees.
