Despite the HAPPY fire I enjoyed my time at Sentinel. I was in space 51 and the closest bathroom’s men’s toilet was out of order. I also was unsure of how to contact and NP employees with questions since the office was closed.

We've camped around the world. Sentinel rates as one of the very best. Well worth the long drive in!

The Happy Fire was close and the smoke was pretty bad. I found my campsite and was very uncomfortable after only a minute outside. Left Kings Canyon immediately. I will try again next year.

We had an amazing weekend experience. The park and bathrooms were clean. The rangers were friendly and knowledgeable. The other campers were respectful of quiet hours and for the first time ever, we didn’t see any bears in the campground.
