What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Love our stay at Sentinel campground conveniently located right next to the Kings River which the kids did not stay out off while we were there and I did not miss a chance to fish and catch me some wild trout.

Campsite was fine. Restrooms were not. At a minimum they need better daily maintenance and repairs. They really need to be replaced.
Stalls out of order, stall doors won’t shut, main door to building does not close at all. Filthy.

Exactly what was expected. Site was large, clean, and as described. Better tree cover than the other grounds I’d stayed in at Cedar Grove in KCNP.

Beautiful campsite surrounded by tall pine trees and you can even hear the river in the distance when it gets quiet. Highly recommend!

The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because some guy stole our reserved spot on our first night. We reserved Thursday night knowing we would have a long drive and would like a reserved spot we knew we could arrive to and sleep in our car when we got there. After an 8 hour drive, some guy was parked in our spot from 10:45pm-the next morning when WE had to kick him out because WE wanted to set up OUR site. When I requested for a refund for that night through Recreation.gov it was declined. The campground was quiet and beautiful, the ranger we spoke with was friendly, there's a nearby market and backcountry wilderness. Just an unfortunate start to a beautiful trip.
