What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

Great campground close to the river. It was very hot during the day so we made the trek up to the Sequoia to cool off and would come back and swim in the water.
We saw bears and deer by our campsite.
There is a restaurant and small store nearby as well.

Very nice campground, good amenities, many shady sites. But...there's that one guy...the only guy...who needs a generator, a loud generator and he needed to camp across from me. The only generator in the entire campground...why? Why?

Amazing place, been going there for over 40 years, unfortunately the reservation system has a flaw. In this remote area there is no cell or internet service, so it makes it impossible to cancel a reservation when some of our party cannot make it. Not a big deal, other than I want to be able to give it up to someone else. With the reservation system, the last few years the campground has been fully reserved, but almost empty at the same time. I also experienced a party that showed up late without a screen shot of their camp site number, they didn't know what to do, so I let them stay in ours overnight. The rangers do have internet, and computers. Maybe there is a way that they can help with the reservation processes. We stayed in Sentinel campground, and if I'm not mistaken Princess campground rangers, have access to the recreation.gov reservation process, and they even have a camp host. Its probably just a National Park thing, but its Just my 2 cents. Thanks, Rett
