What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Beautiful National Park. Great camp spaces, nicely spread out. You can hear the river at night and enjoy camping in the trees at most sites. Roads End for hikes just a short drive away.

We loved it! It was my husband and 3 year old son’s first time camping. We had so much fun we didn’t want to leave. It was so nice how much space there was, it was so quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views and the bathrooms were remarkably clean, constantly. The river, visitor center and Cedar Grove market are all within walking distance. Great site and we’ll definitely be back!

Great campground. Lots of shade, soft flat ground, and trees. Absolutely no cell service but there is a pay phone if needed for emergencies. Small market also nearby. There are no paths in between the individual sites however so you will find many other campers cutting through your site to access things like the bathroom.

Camp site was very clean and was perfect for the tents.

Excellent campground though a little congested in the middle of the campground area. Ideally try to get a spot on the perimeter. Do you not worry about getting close to the road because there is very little traffic anyway, especially at night when you're sleeping.

Great park and amazing place but two problems. Park was built in early 1900's prior to the needs of a 35 foot gooseneck. That park does not fit a trailer that large or larger. Barely got the unit in, left no place for tow vehicle. Also, if you are going to allow travel trailers down there, you should reopen the waste disposal. It's like having are restaurant with no rest room.
