What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

We love this campground! Very scenic and relatively spacious sites, some slightly better than others. The facilities are well kept and short distance away from the sites. Sheep Creek behind the campground is a nice, added bonus.

The campground was beautiful! There were many large trees down in the area which, under our circumstances, gave our 3 children places to play. We loved having the river close by our site. We did have a little trouble upon arrival though. There were really no instructions on how to make our presence known in the campground. There was also someone on our site. These were less than desirable conditions, but really had no bearing on our enjoyment of such a wonderful place!

The facilities were very clean and the campsites had a lot of room. A short walk to Cedar Grove Village was also nice. The proximity to waterfalls, day hike trails and the Rae Lakes Loop permit station was very convenient. This is a very nice campground with scenic beauty in every direction.
