Space #88 is a slim parking space and hard to fit an RV with a slideout, as it has trees on either side. The camp was nearly full, with lots of campers with camp fires in 80°F warm nights. It’s one of the larger sites, with ample room for our needs. The other campers wanted to sleep as much as us, and we were thankful for the midweek quiet nights.

Campsite is down a small incline with a lot of boulders, be prepared to carry things downhill for a small distance. Very confusing loops, took us twice to figure out how to get to our site and other people seemed to have the same issue. Camp sites were fairly close together, and our neighbors were extremely loud for several hours past quiet time. Bathrooms were well kept, with running water and flush toilets. We did hear a bear in the middle of the night walking through camp. Otherwise, it was nice except for the neighboring campsites (which were really a group of about 30 people spread between 6 campsites and us right in the middle). Expect to drive a good distance to get to the main part of Sequoia and Kings Canyon if that’s your goal. About an hour each way to get out of the valley

Nice and well maintained campsites next to river. Cedar Grove has plenty of hiking trails and river play areas. Beautiful scenery. Bears are active during the Summer, so be prepared. Only issue we had was the restroom near us did not have lights working.

Loved the proximity to the river! Very peaceful and serene. Be prepared for lots of wildlife though, we had multiple bear encounters and a rattlesnake by the bear box. Can’t wait to go back!

Very nice campground. A lot of campsites. After driving one hour in pitch dark. Surrounded by other campsites with people give a sense of security

They created an artificial unavailablity with the showers by requiring tokens to shower. Showers should have been free with the stay, or at the very least easily purchased

Reservation system worked great. Our site, #16, had room for three tents. It was 95 degrees each day we were there, but from our site it was a short walk along the bike trail to a clear path that led down to a nice swimming hole on the river. We were very happy to have brought a pop-up shade to cover the bear box, which otherwise would have been in constant strong sun. A young bear visited us almost daily at 3 p.m., and the 5-mile hike (each way) to Mist Falls is a must-do Overall, we loved the area.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Do not leave propane tanks in the park; take them home for disposal.
