The area was nice, I had three kids and they were all able to play in the creek, also walk to the roaring water fall.

Sheep Creek Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained sites, and a peaceful atmosphere, particularly enjoyed for its proximity to the river and hiking trails. Many campers appreciated the quiet nights and spacious campsites, although some reported issues with noise from neighboring sites and restroom cleanliness. I love Sheep Creek. I have been going there for over 50 years and feel a bit protective of it... But, the park service can only blame so much on the pandemic. First, the bathrooms were the filthiest I have EVER seen a National Park bathroom. Obviously not being cleaned AT ALL. Hey, don't open a campground 100% if you have no ability to maintain it. Second, there was a campfire ban in the campground. We, sadly, observed that ban. However, 1/4 the campground did not. And, the rangers were driving through, ignoring the campfires, not even getting out of their truck. Really?
Kings Canyon WAS hot, but there is much river to cool in. BUT, National Park Service, you are not taking care of my park!!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful campsite. It was an awesome week even though it was too hot we have fun!

Great location, right next to the river but it is an hour from the other main attractions. That is the only drawback.
