What Guests Are Saying
Sheep Creek Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting with spacious, well-maintained sites close to the South Fork of the Kings River. Campers appreciate the scenic drive, clean facilities, and friendly park personnel, making it an excellent base for hiking and exploring the area. While there are no garbage bins on-site and some wish for shower access, the overall experience is highly rated, with many eager to return.

Campground was great. Unfortunately there were large groups of campers exceeding the number of 6 per site and felt very crowded. Neighboring campers were not observant of rules like running generators late and blasting huge flood lights illuminating the camp area without regard for other campers.

Site #22 at Sheep Creek Campground is a lovely little spot; a tiny stream runs right behind this site and the river is just a short stroll away. Soaking our feet in the cold river water after a long day of walking was a real treat for us. The site itself is nice and roomy, but the RV parking spot is not very level; we managed to use the leveling blocks correctly and we got her nice and level after all. We were also pleased to see that many other sites were vacant, the campground was uncrowded and quiet. This spot is yet another lovely camping site in the wonderful Sequoia / King's Canyon National Parks. NOTE 1: The roads in Sheep Cheek Campground were in terrible shape when we visited, much worse than the roads we encountered in other campgrounds; you need to drive very slowly and carefully. NOTE 2: When we visited in June 2021, COVID restrictions were still in force and services such as all of the Visitor's Center were closed, along with the grocery store and etc. at Sheep Creek. Be sure to check on current conditions and come prepared with food, ice, and fuel. Enjoy your visit; we certainly did!

Very clean campsites, rangers came by to check on things and answer questions periodically but not overwhelming.

Excellent stay. Highlight was when a momma bear and two cubs wandered the edge of our campsite.... some good old fashioned pot banging scared them off with no other incident. It was a little chillier than I'd have liked in June but do-able.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
