It was a great campground. We were in #19 and #4. #19 was more private, and #4 had more open sky for star viewing.

Sheep Creek Campground is a beautiful place, especially with the creek flowing nearby, which creates a relaxing and peaceful setting. The restrooms were generally clean, although cleanliness depends on how considerate other campers are. Access to water was also convenient, with water sources located close to the campsites.
Our first night (Saturday) was less enjoyable because the campground was crowded and noisy even after quiet hours. There was no campground host or staff on-site, and the ranger was located in a nearby village. We could hear drumming and other noise until around midnight, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the camping experience.
Fortunately, the next day was much better. Since it was Sunday and many campers had checked out, we were finally able to experience the peace and serenity of the campground. The natural surroundings are beautiful, and the sound of the creek adds to the overall atmosphere.
Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend Sheep Creek Campground, especially for those visiting during less busy times. Better enforcement of quiet hours would make the experience even more enjoyable

Beautiful spot to camp, but definitely would prefer to reserve a spot along the outer ring to avoid the large weekend families that gather in the center. No cell service at all but had everything you could need while camping.

It was my first time here. And I absolutely loved it!! First time tent camping, cabin camped all my life, but this is a must! Location was perfect! It was close to the river rock jump off, and hiking spots. We did have a bear encounter, which at first was a little scary, but luckily it was a one year old bear, so it was more scared of us than anything. It got pretty hot during the day, but most locations have some tree shade. Would definitely come back here!

Overall Campground was ok. Clean bathrooms. Unfortunately quiet hours were not enforced and large families were extremely noisy.
This site was near the river, but also not directly next to it like I thought it would be. The water helped drown out the noise of some campsites that were noisy.
Also, the layout of the campground was was set in a way that when people drive around at nighttime, their vehicle lights directly would flash at my tent. This bothered me when people arrived late at night as the lights kept flashing at me. Some sites don't experience this problem.

I had a sequoia in my camp spot - and it smelled like sequoia. Roar of the river in the distance, and plenty of stars.

There is no pay phone available in Cedar Grove and no internet/cell service so plan accordingly. Also showers are only by Sentinel campground and take tokens which you have to buy at the Cedar Grove market.
