What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

My son and I pitched our tent and camped overnight. We arrived after dark, so it took a little extra time to be sure we were parked and set up in our assigned walk-in spot. Though we were on one of the highway-adjacent sites, we didn't find road noise to be a problem. A good place to stay while fishing on the Truckee.

This is the best of the three campgrounds in this area for river access. The water is rusty, but otherwise it is great.
