This was a nice place to stay, but be aware that some of the campsites are very close to the road, so you should expect some noise. I also recommend bringing a large water container, as there is only one water spigot available for the entire area. Other than that, it is a great location that is conveniently close to many local attractions.

Very basic and primitive campsite. During the daytime, there is heavy traffic on the road, which is quite noisy.
The Camp post was very friendly and supportive. The toilets were primitive, but were kept clean. I had to attend a meeting at the Olympic resort. The proximity of the campground to the village was a plus.

The campground hosts were very accommodating and cheerful. This alone made the experience very good. As far as the facilities, the roads are in bad shape, and there is a bit of highway noise, but that is to be expected in campgrounds along this road.

Cell service was great, proximity to the lake and town was really nice. Campground is roomy. Our site was right next to the road and if you have the option for one closer to the river, take it. We camped in tents and unfortunately the proximity to the road was a struggle. The noise and lights from headlights were constant throughout the night. I had to use a sleep mask and earbuds with white noise in order to sleep.

Great spot. Perfect for families who are active and like the proximity to the lake and the river right there. River is nice for a short swim too. Camp site staff was super helpful and friendly.
Slight con: very dusty and a bit further out from the lake. And no showers or running water so one needs to bring all that.
Still an overall great experience!

Close to highway but close to Tahoe so great if you want to be close to the lake but still feel near the wilderness.

Comfortable enough, the road noise is substantial.
