This campground is a gem for location and price! Some campsites are small and tent-sized, some large enough for a 35' Motorhome. No showers or hot water, so tenters beware. Designated beach just across the highway for daily dipping in the lake. Wonderful bike path goes north to Tahoe City and along the Truckee River, south to Homewood and beyond. Pickleball courts and park with playground equipment close by. Free concerts at Palisades (Tuesday Bluesday) and at Commons beach on Sundays. Hiking galore nearby. Great market for coffee, breakfast burritos, lunch and staples right across the street next to the beach. We just got back from a 5 person 5-night stay in our 24' trailer along with first-time campers (including a 3 year old) in a tent also on our site. We had a marvelous time! People often cancel their reservations for fear of "wild fire smoke", so check frequently for cancellations in July and August especially when the news shows smoke near the Tahoe area. We saw NO SMOKE, but assume Gann fire scared some reservation holders. Book it! You won't regret it! There is a local bear who noses around nearly every night, heed the warnings about food/drinks/trash left out of bear box and you won't be bothered. Our solar panels were able to keep up with our needs, and Starlink Mini worked well when we needed it.

First time at this campground. We have been traveling to Tahoe for the past 50+ years and didn't even know this camp was here.

The camp hosts are very helpful and friendly. Steve and his wife were delightful.

The location of this park is fantastic. Tahoe city is only two miles north with many restaurants and places to visit. William Kent even has its own beach where I went swimming. We liked it so much we plan on returning next summer.

Less than 5 min walk to the beach. There is a gourmet shop for food right across the street if you don’t feel like barbecuing. Very convenient location.

Campsite is very close to cabins that leave their porch lights on for the whole night. Cannot see nightsky with bright lights all around.

A perfect location right across the street from the lake so you can go swimming at the beach. If you prefer dining out, you’ve got sunny side to your right and shady side lounge to your left. Best to make a reservation at Sunnyside and go put your name in early at Shadyside lounge. Be prepared for Beers walking around camp. Lots of great shady spots in the sun and cool sleeping at night. Bring your bike because there’s hours of riding up and down the path and either direction. Bring a paddleboard if you want to do some water activity. Great hiking opportunities and mountain biking opportunities nearby. You can even float the river with an outfitter. One of my favorite campgrounds.

Great campground right across the road from a small rocky beach. Bears can be a nuisance.
