Paid for tent camping with a 30' trailer spot, as availble for purchasing on the website, same as it has been every time we stayed in the past over many years. When we arrived, we were forced to pay an additional $10/day for the trailer we were towing. They insisted it counted as a second vehicle because it was not a 'tent-trailer.' Seems unethical since it was absolutely was not a second vehicle and not stated on the website! We have stayed there many times over the years without this levied extra bogus fee. This along with no showers, reserved campsites being unavailable where there are no-shows, and typical swarms of yellow jackets, makes William Kent a deal-breaker to stay there again, sad...

Campground was clean, people were courteous, and the facilities were clean. We loved the close access to the William Kent Beach as well. As read on reviews, there were bears at the campground. Scary but also exciting!

Second time staying at William Kent, great location and experience. Everything is in order, bathrooms are clean. The site is spacious.
On the last morning a bear came for breakfast, a manged to steal a cooler from one of sites (not mine), so try lock everything all the time.

We liked the close proximity to the public beach on Lake Tahoe and also the close proximity to our son’s place. However, at our campsite, the phone coverage was sketchy.

We camped in August and September. August was a bit noisy in places but September was peaceful. If you have a larger rig you need to read the maximum length accommodations.
There are wonderful restaurants within a very short walk. Sunnyside and The Fire Sign. As well as a small but beautiful beach. The camp hosts were great. Very accessible and willing to help.

The campground itself was good however the bathrooms could use an upgrade. Firewood was $15 a bundle..yikes.

First time here. Camp Host / Management top notch. Tahoe is a heavily visited lake, and yet much of the campground feels away from the busy lake activity. However, its also easy reach of bike trails, shopping and dining if you like. Will return again if lucky enough to find an open site next year.
