The camp hosts are amazing. They do a fantastic job keeping the grounds clean and they are very accommodating with info, recommendations and knowledge of the area, which in turn makes the camping experience top notch. 5 STARS!

Love this campground sooo much! 81 is next to restroom and shared trash dumpster which is good or bad depending on your outlook. Such a nice walk to the shore, close to a lovely cafe, market and Sunnyside restaurant.

The gentleman at check in was very nice, the Yurt we rented smelled a little funny and had some leftovers from the last people but the smell went away just after we got windows and the door open.

William Kent is a gem. Lovely facilities and great staff. Even a neighborhood bear or 2. We’ll be back.

The yurt itself was great! Nice bunk bed and futon, clean, and fun. The camp hosts were attentive and kind. There is a stone beach within walking distance, and the sandy but busy Commons beach in Tahoe City is just a short drive away. Bike paths are accessible just outside the campground.
The campsite is spacious and open - this is both good and bad. Because the yurt site is one of the first sites on the road into the campground, everyone at camp has to drive by the site and can see everything since it is so open. The campground is surrounded by houses, so you also have windows from the other side looking into the site (maybe 100 meters away). Also, the trailer dumpsite is right next door, so you get to watch people dumping (and spilling) their waste while you eat breakfast.
All in all, it is a great site for getting you up to Tahoe, but not a great site for a quiet outdoors adventure.

First time to William Kent and we were very pleased. Though the campground is very easily accessible from Hwy 89, it feels super hidden and private from the main road. Our spot was towards the back with lots of room to spread out. The bathroom was very close to our site and was clean and well taken care of. Check in was easy, even after hours, with our paperwork pinned to the check in board. There are houses that border the outside fence of the campground, but our site was on the interior, so we could see some houses, but didn't back up to them. Tons of huge pine trees and our site was shady and never got blasted by the sun. We will visit again.

Great campsite #33. A lot to do. Rode bikes took walks. Visit farmers market on Thursday. Great place to relax.
