The vault toilets were the cleanest ones I have ever visited and the staff were great - they spent some time giving us directions to some of the places to visit and educated us about the tree care. Such a beautiful place! We will definitely be back!

No cell phone reception. Always a lovely time at Medicine Lake. The Lake has a very shallow entry so it's really nice for younger kids. Lots of things to explore nearby make it a great base camp too. (Lava Beds National Monument, Glass Mountain, other Lava flows, etc)

Site # 39 is up on a small hill, lots of room but not very level. You can see the lake from site but that also comes with the wind. Can get very windy and need a wind block to cook. Most of the site is shaded, restroom are a short hike and water is a few feet away. Fishing is great and you are near to many places to visit but its a hour drive back to the highway.
