Loved this spot! You could fit two cars but there was parking! Right next to the bathrooms! I recommend

The site B-15 is open a curve and inappropriate for rigs that have driver side slide outs .. This should be put into the description as it caused a lot of trouble and a possible citation for road blockage

We really like Cottonwood Campground because it’s quiet and less crowded than the other campgrounds in Joshua Tree NP, but close enough to enjoy the entire park. Plus it takes reservations, which we need with our 25’ trailer.

Nice, clean and safe campground. Easy access to hikes and visitor's center. Warm water and showers would have been a nice part of the trip.

Campground was clean and beautiful. We didnt choose a flat spot for the sprinter camper. Seems strange that the people at the visitor center, who were friendly and helpful could neither help us get reservations nor was there internet to make a reservation in the visitor center. You have to drive > 5 mi to get a signal to reserve a sight you can’t see. Makes no sense. I would have gladly paid extra for internet use or help with the reservation. The dump site was a blessing!

Pros
Very well maintained and well designed campground. Easy to locate even when arriving in the dark. Nice big stone picnic table and fire pit for each site. Paved parking spots so you ain’t have to drive off road to your site. Beautiful view of the stars.
Cons
South end of the park so was perfect for one night, but wouldn’t be as good for multiple nights considering so much of the park is 30-60min drive from campsite. Sites are not super private (close to road/other sites/not a lot of foliage). Can be noisy if you have jerks around.
