Wonderful spot to see the whole park. The Spring was an unexpected treat. Side parking is narrow but our little rig fit just fine.

Office closed when we arrived. Signs and maps available and helpful. Site was tight for 29’ RV. No hookups. Bathroom was clean and close. No shower. Nice hiking trails. Cottonwood is super convenient to I-10. Then very scenic relaxing 35-mi drive thru park into 29 Palms next morning.

The only thing this site is lacking is a shower in the restrooms (even though it wa known before I got there). I always tell people at the campground and the visitors center to go see the Cottonwood Springs at the end of the road to the campground. It seems like most people continue into the park after the visitors center and miss out on the springs.

Was an excellent campsite. There was enough shrubbery around of significant size that the site felt somewhat private even during Easter week with every site packed. The facilities were especially nice and well kept with running water and plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again. It was remote but has excellent access to a few significant and stunning trails.

Our visit was at the end of April 2024. We were overrun by flies during the day and by moths at night. We left early.
