Fellow campers: pick up after yourself. We picked up old glass, plastic, and metal objects when we left. Leave the camp site in better condition than when you arrived. Thank you. 🙏🏽

I would say it is a very fun campground andbI would definitely go again. I just with that there were staff there at the gate. Other than that I think it is amazing and worth the money

This is my second time staying at Indian Cove. I like that it’s part of the park, but away from the crowded parts of the park. It’s a pretty campground with trails to explore. The night skies are amazing. This spot was so nice and spacious and in close proximity to two bathrooms. Beautiful spot all around.

Always love this campground! Site 90 has an amazing view but is not bordered by the big rocks.

Beautiful campground with sites that generally seem larger than their descriptions on the website. Sites are nicely spaced. Trash cans and bathrooms are conveniently located.

We were in spot 10 and the site was great.
We were disappointed in the trash we found in and around the site. We were more upset and disappointed in who ever the previous campers were more than anything. Once we picked up their trash and settled in, it was great.

Take Interstate 10 to State Highway 62. Go past the West Entrance at Park Boulevard and continue east another 9.3 mi. Turn south on Indian Cove Road. Follow the road into the campground. If coming from the east, follow Highway 62 approximately seven miles west of the city of Twentynine Palms and turn south onto Indian Cove Road.
Highway access
Indian Cove Campground is accessible via Interstate 10 and State Highway 62. It is located approximately 9.3 miles east of the West Entrance at Park Boulevard on Highway 62.

- Reservations are mandatory and can be made up to 6 months in advance or on the same day.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

Cancellation policy
- No-shows will incur a $20 fee and forfeit the first night's fee; the entire reservation will be canceled for no-shows.
Site capacity
- Each campsite allows up to six people and two vehicles, though some sites may have limitations; trailers count as vehicles.
Accessibility
- Access to the main park area is only via hiking trails; there is a $30 vehicle entrance fee in addition to camping fees.
Utilities
- Campsites do not have electric, water, or sewer hookups, and there is no nearby dump station; potable water is available 2 miles away.
Safety & rules
- Generators may only be used during designated hours: 7–9 am, noon–2 pm, and 5–7 pm.
Pets
- Pets must be leashed and are welcome in the campground and nearby areas, but not on trails; leaving pets unattended is discouraged.
Fires & fuel
- Firewood must be obtained locally to prevent pest spread; do not use park vegetation for fuel.
- A fire ban is in effect, prohibiting all fires except gas or propane stoves, from June 15 to October 1.
Local regulations
- Organized events need a special use permit and must take place in designated areas; contact for details.
Wildlife & food storage
- To prevent invasive species, clean all gear and pets before entering or leaving the site and stay on designated paths.
