End site with a neighbor on one side. Very short walk to bathrooms/dumpster. Kids really enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Enough space for our 16ft (expanded) popup trailer and our station wagon car. Our popup did hang over some of the rocks a little.

Campsite was on the smaller side. The roads to get to the campsite need some major TLC. Seems like a mix of asphalt and sand, which was rough. Campsite sits against the rocks and offers some decent privacy. Quiet hours were not followed and I was woken up at 2am by people talking.

Beautiful scenery and and awesome night sky. Plenty of trails to hike and bike an close to town for the essentials. Worth it!

Camped at site 95 and it was beautiful. Toilets were upkept everyday which was nice. Would stay again.

Absolutely beautiful campsite amongst Joshua Tree's beautiful rocks. Close to the 49 Palms trail, and away from the hubub of the main park. A great campground!

Sites 43 & 44 share a parking area. The total width is equivalent to or maybe slightly larger than 4 regular parking lot spaces. Both sites only had one van each during our stay so it was okay but I could see it getting uncomfortable if there were multiple vehicles at each site.

The tent parking sites were not large enough to accommodate our vehicle so the campground host (Cindy Olsen) kindly allowed us to move to the regulated site in the area. We were very grateful for her consideration.
Also, the reservations only system makes it very difficult for non-locals to obtain a campsite. We were in at least three different parks where the sites were all booked online but then not used. We realize that there is a huge staff shortage but perhaps there can be some options for securing a campsite.

Before I start my review, I need to voice my pet peeve as a retired person.
I wish children under 18 were not allowed in campgrounds during the week after Labor Day.
If I want to hear a bunch of screaming kids, I'll see my grandkids!
Outside the screaming kids, I love Joshua Tree during this time of year in the fall.
My campsite was enjoyable it's walking one at the end of the walking campsite on Ridge.
You need to guy out of your tent very well. It gets very windy.

Very nice campground, sites are tucked into the rocks. Pit toilet was very clean. I think this is the best campground in Joshua Tree.

Take Interstate 10 to State Highway 62. Go past the West Entrance at Park Boulevard and continue east another 9.3 miles. Turn south on Indian Cove Road. Follow the road into the campground. If coming from the east, follow Highway 62 approximately seven miles west of the city of Twentynine Palms and turn south onto Indian Cove Road.

The park allows six people, two vehicles and three vehicles per site, however, some sites are small and may not accommodate the maximum number of people and vehicles. See Site Details for specifics. There is no overflow parking. Trailers count as a vehicle. |

There is no access into the main portion of the park from the campground except by hiking trails; $30 per vehicle entrance fee is in addition to the camping fee. |

There are no electric, water or sewer hook-ups available at individual campsites; nor is a dump station located nearby. Potable water is available at the Ranger Station, about 2 miles from the campground. |

Generator use is permitted only from 7–9 am, noon–2 pm, and 5–7 pm. |

Pets are not allowed on trails but are welcome in the campground, on any dirt road or within 100 feet of any road. Pets must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long at all times. Pets may not be left unattended or tied to an object; leaving pets in unattended vehicles is strongly discouraged – especially on warm days. |

Don’t Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near the park and burning it on-site, and do not use park vegetation, living or dead, for fuel. |
