What Guests Are Saying
Indian Cove Campground offers a beautiful setting surrounded by stunning rock formations, making it ideal for families and friends. Campsites are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with fire pits and picnic tables, with easy access to water nearby. While some sites are close together and noise from activities can be disruptive, many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, great climbing opportunities, and breathtaking stargazing at night.

My rating was based on:
Beautiful campground. Spectacular when surrounded by rocks.
Some sites are close to neighbors.
Many sites won't accommodate a trailer.
No water within the campground. Their is water at the ranger station outside the campground.
Some people drive way too fast through the campground. Many respect their fellow campers and drive slow so they don't raise a cloud of dust in their wake.
Separate from the main entrances to the park.

Great spot. When we got there someone was there. They were supposed to be at spot 50. They did move but it was kinda awkward . I suggest a sign pointing with spot 51. Other that that we had a great time. Clean area & bathroom. Nice respectful people camping. Quiet at night. Close to town. Highly recommended this campground.

Had a great time. Campsites were clean and orderly. Rangers were all helpful. We did day trips to Ryan Ranch, the Dam Trail. At Cottonwood we hiked to Lost Palms Oasis. All great. Can't wait to go back.

We really enjoyed Indian Cove campground. The sites are spread out and there are no more than five in each turnout. We drove through the other campgrounds in the park, and thought none were as pleasant as Indian Cove. Of course, Indian Cove is not inside the park proper. You have to return to the highway and drive to the entrance in Twenty Nine Palms and if you don't go early you may have long lines.
The restrooms were keep immaculate. We drove to the end of the campground and took the nature walk. Very pleasant. Also one of the trailheads to the Boy Scout Trail are in the park, near the ranger station. The is a nice and flat walk up to the rocks.

Campgrounds were very nice. Everything was well taken care of, the bathrooms were immaculate. What I liked about Indian Cove compared to the other sites within the park is there’s a lot of space between the sites themselves and then the grouping of each of the sites there’s only about four or five and then a distance to the next group so that was really pleasant. It is a drawback that you have to go through the entrance gate and drive into the park every day, but we enjoyed the campsite itself very much.

We stayed at site 12. Very spacious site and private. One of the best ones I think. But overall this campground is excellent. We will be back again.

Gorgeous vistas! Campsite was clean and although they are densely packed together, you’re still out in this natural beauty that makes the space expand. Pit toilets were well stocked

Delightful 2 night stay. Clean vault toilets, water at Ranger Station easy to access. Convenient to West and East sides of the park. We hiked the Discovery Trail as our warm up and then to Willow Hole for a great time in the rock formations.
