What Guests Are Saying

Lake Campground offers a pleasant camping experience with clean facilities and friendly staff. Campsite 006 is highly recommended due to its elevated position and proximity to the lake, which is just a short walk away. However, campsites 005 and others near the restroom face issues with odor and noise, making them less desirable.

The campground looked decent but the camp site number 5 was really close to the restroom! As soon as we tried to set up our tent. all we can smell was the restroom. We had to leave. If you want to visit the campground do any other number except 5

Staff was amazing and the campground was clean. What I didn't know was that there was a public bathroom literally in the campsite. So we had to deal with people coming and going day and night and the stench of the latrine.

Campground was quiet and clean, including the restrooms. We bought firewood from the host (who took care of both grounds) at the larger campground across the street. Slept well in our tent on a mostly flat spot on our site. Jackson Lake (more like a large pond) is a 2-minute walk away, there are some hiking trails nearby (though we didn't use them), and the town of Wrightwood is a 10-20 minute drive. Overall, a nice, low-key place for relaxation.

Site 5 is the worst site. It was so hilly there was not a flat spot to pitch a tent. It is steps away from the bathroom so you can smell it all night. The neighbors played music until 2am so we hardly slept.

There is not host at this specific campground. They are located at the next one up the road. I mention that because a group of no less than 14 guys showed up the ONE night we were staying and they had an all out PARTY from 10:30p- 7am the following day. Non stop music and loud hooting and hollering. They were not there to camp - they never even set up tents.
So, it is highly unlikely that you would experience this BUT because there was no camp host, no one was there to ‘regulate’ or enforce the ‘quiet time’.
It was the worst camping experience we have ever had.
