Campgrounds are right off the highway, you can see it from about half of them. Not ideal. Sites are small and very close to the other sites. Most sites are relatively flat. Large tents should fit in most. Flush toilets are great. I feel like this would be good for families with children. Not for staying up late, your noise would bother others.

Go a few miles away to Table Mountain.

Good convenient location, no privacy, sound travels, available bathrooms but not very clean. Overall I would stay again but not the most secluded experience. Good for a quick getaway.

Host from Mountain High was awesome. They gave us free stickers of awesome yeti and MH logo to remember the good times and all the firewood for the kids and more s’mores. This place was pristine and we helped continue to keep it awesome!

Host is very nice. You can buy firewood from the host. Campistes are little close each other but few people came in winter so it's OK. Flush toilet with light at night. Very convenient and location is great.

The campground was good with the exception of not being able to have any kind of fire including camp fire, grills etc when I booked the reservation there was no mention of any kinda of restrictions at the campground. It was very disappointing and a little upsetting when you have plans of using a camp fire and grill and we were loaded down with extra items for a camp fire. Other than we made the best of it. Over all experience was ok

I would have given it a five star if the instruction on a website were a little bit more thorough. Camping out in winter time without the ability to have a bonfire is a bit torturing. After all who wants to stand around in the cold all day? There was wind advisory and it did get very windy throughout the night, so it was understandable that campfire was not allowed. Campground was all booked up from the website, but because of the restriction of not allowing open fire. The campground ended up with only a few camper. Glad I came to pair with a generator that help kept the family warm through the 43° cold. The camp has running water throughout and two public restroom that are very clean. There's fencing surrounding the camp which makes the kids feels a little bit more secure at night to prevent wild animal from coming in or preventing kids from venturing out too far. They're hiking trail all around. A small lake with parking restroom and picnic area.

This review reflects more on communication by the website. We were not able to stay at the campsite due to fire restrictions. They did not allow any campfires or even any open flame for cooking (ex. Propane stove). The nighttime temps were going to be in the 20’s so we were unable to stay, but no where on the website did it mention these fire restrictions. Only until we drove up to stay did the camp host let us know. There should be better communication on the website of any fire restrictions before we waste our time or money.

Clean site and flush bathrooms were nice while camping. Only complaint is that there was an open flame ban, so we weren’t able to use our gas grill and stove. Luckily, Wrightwood is a 15 mins drive and has restaurants.

Definitely double check before you leave if you’re able to have any open flames. Take food you don’t need to cook, just in case.
