Although the spots are a bit weird and quite small, the campground was relatively quiet. It’s a 45 min drive to the Yosemite valley. Restrooms could be cleaned more often. People don’t really follow the rules with regards to bear safety and food storage.

Spot did not have a flat spot big enough to fit a tent. Lots of light from the restrooms.

We stayed 1 night in this campground in July. The campground was nice, although it’s about a 50 minute drive from the valley floor.
Our neighbors were very disrespectful and were up and shouting until 3 a.m. That situation ruined the camping experience for our party.
I would recommend camping in the valley floor before camping here!

Nice campsite! Somewhat close to others, but wasn’t a problem for us. Liked the proximity to the bathroom… close but not too close. Good for stargazing!

Campsites were very close to each other. No showers. Limited bathrooms.
Recommend visiting Hetch Hetchy, which is a short drive from the campground.

Camp site is not safe for car/RV parking. Ditch next to camp site is too steep and dangerous. My RV was stuck in the ditch overnight until next morning calling towing service. And car next to us scratched the bottom on their way up camp site. All in all is higher ground is not safe for larger vehicles or low clearance vehicles.

This was the most crowded campground I have ever stayed in. Sites are practically right on top of each other. So expect lots of people around. For the most part, people did respect the quiet hours though. Other than that it is a fine, basic campground. Nothing special, no good views or anything. But they do have running water and decent bathrooms. I haven't camped anywhere else in Yosemite, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I had way better camping sites outside the park with views and solitude. It was convenient to be in the park and get to the valley in the morning though. And the hosts were nice about us being a little bit late out of the park.

Campsites at Hogdon are much larger than the sites in the valley and it's in Yosemite.
