Hodgdon Meadow Campground

Yosemite is great, but this campground isn't. Many, if not most, of the campsites are on hillsides with a noticeable slant. Tough to find a place to lay down without sliding downhill. There are only two restroom buildings for the entire campground, which means a long walk to the toilet. Moreover, unlike most campgrounds, there are no water spigots scattered through the campground. The only places to get water are at the two restroom buildings. There's a small "closet" that has what looks like a giant sink; that's where you can fill up your water jugs. To make things MORE difficult, those water faucets are very close to the wall, which makes filling the jugs an effort - you have to hold the jug up close to the faucet, no matter how heavy it's getting.
I won't be looking to stay here again.

The site we reserved for our 23’ motor home was so far off level we could not stay there. The sites are close together, our neighbor’s second tent actually was on our tent pad right behind our fire pit. Overall this is not up to the standard one would expect from a national park campground. We ended staying outside the park disbursed camping on a forest service road out of necessity, will scratch this campground off our list for the future and hope the park can someday redesign and restore it to be worthy of its great location.

Sites not well defined. All I saw were sloped and had no good flat spot for a tent.

The campground was basic, flush toilets and camper sinks with potable water for facilities. Our site indicates was acceptable for RVs up to 25 ft with a moderate grade, which when got there we barely got our 17 ft to fit and it was more of a severe grade than moderate

El lugar era muy bueno. Sólo creo que deberían mejorar los baños y tener cerca un lugar para evacuar las aguas de los RV.

Nice campground! It's about half an hour from the Valley and on the edge of the park, so it's pretty quiet and secluded.

The food box was really big, which is appreciated. We were on pitch 72 which for tents I think is one of the best as it is like 65.6 ft away from were you park and it is isolated from the rest of the campground. The places in the inner circle of the campground i think are worse as they have to be crossed continously to access the bathrooms. In comparison, place 72 is calm and plenty of space. Although there is a road really close, you can not actually see it and it has really little use, so car noise is not an issue. Really recommend this campground and specifically place 72, and its surroundings.

Horribly slanted campsite with nowhere level to sit or set up a tent or enjoy yourself. We were in a camper van and the parking space was horribly off level. Bathrooms hard to get to. I mean, it's Yosemite, so we loved being there, but this site was very poor.

Clean bathrooms. Nice ranger host. Not far from Yosemite valley.
