Lower Pines Campground boasts a fantastic location with spacious sites, incredible views of granite cliffs, and proximity to amenities in Curry Village. The campground is well-maintained and offers a relaxing atmosphere for visitors, with enjoyable access to the river and hiking trails. However, some campers noted issues with shade, noise from nearby roads, and occasional bear activity, emphasizing the need for vigilance with food storage.

Our campsite was fantastic. We had a lot of space and weren’t on top of anyone else. It was nice to see and hear the river. I loved having dinner in my chair by the river. The bathrooms were nice and clean. We loved it! Great spot!

Camp host was fantastic. Very friendly. Location is excellent through our campsite (#4) is not the most level.

Exactly what you’d expect from a Yosemite campsite: awe-inspiring views and easy access to valley floor hikes. I was pleasantly surprised at the relative tranquility of the site during the craziness of Memorial Day weekend.

We got spot 21 and it was AMAZING! Right in front of half dome. It was a dream to wake up, open the tent and see half dome at sunrise. 🌅 I felt our space was like the mansion of the campground 😹it was sooooo spacious. Great experience!

Campsite is great for a larger group! Beautiful views of half dome as well and right by the river. Only downside is there are less trees in this campsite so no where to really hang our hammock but overall it worked out great for us!
