Half our party stayed in Curry Village, but we had three folks stay in Lower Pines, and this had the huge advantage of giving us a comfortable space to spread out and cook our meals. The walking distance between the two spots was negligible. The shuttle system around the valley was very easy to use and allowed us to hike and float down the river with ease. Lower Pines sites were all fairly level and spacious. The tall pines offered some shade but not a lot of privacy. That being said, the people around us were very quiet and nice. As with all the places we visited in CA, strict use of bear boxes for scented items is a necessity, and the one provided at our site had ample space.

Our camping experience was amazing. Clean campgrounds, great host, respectful neighbors, beautiful scenery. Will definitely come back.

Sites run together, but well worth it for the location. View of half-dome from the site (including the sunset colors). Next door to the river for swimming, etc and a walk or short shuttle ride to lots of amenities and the Mist trailhead. Amazing.

Spot was nice and level. Parking is OK if you have two cars; not wide enough for a truck camper or wide campervan and another vehicle. It is right next to camp host and directly across from the entrance booth and next over from the dumpsters for what that is worth.

The location is excellent because you can walk to many hikes straight from the campsite and to Curry Village, which has various amenities. That being said, you should be aware that the sites are very on top of one another. They claim that quiet hours begin at 10pm and fires need to be put out by then. However, the large group in the site next to us was up past midnight being quite loud and there was no camp host anywhere to address the situation. So just beware of what you are getting by staying in this campground.
Also, on busy holiday weekends, the shuttle system will be a joke. Expect 45 minute or longer waits for a shuttle with space. It really pushes you in the direction of just driving your car and looking for parking, which really is the opposite of the intended purpose.
That being said, Yosemite Valley is every bit as gorgeous as advertised. The view from Glacier Point and Washburn Point are incredible.

Nice spacious campground and stay quiet from 10pm on. The ADH campground has a 12x12 raised bed, which does not work for our 10x14 tent. Fortunately, the space next to the raised bed happens to be 10 from the border so we were able to set our tent there.
