What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

A49. Best view in the campground. Wonderful Rangers, fabulous volunteers. Make sure that you don’t store any food in your car or tent and you’ll be sure to have a great time - and don’t forget the bug spray & soap (none in the restrooms). 5/5 will camp again. So glad they are getting a needed renovation of the waste systems, glad to hear they will be rehabilitating and relocating A-loop road a bit farther from sensitive meadows. Stay off the delicate meadows while you are here please!

Excellent location, but as a campsite there’s so much that could be improved. Consider how many sites are in this campground, water spouts are very limited and restrooms needs more routine cleaning. Also, the grill on our fire pit wasn’t secure to the ring, and was warped. There were tons of flies and even maggots falling down from one tree. Loud neighbors making noise all night. General store sells smaller than usual bundles of wood for $13. I camp 3-4x a year and I expected so much better from a site located in Yosemite.

Tuolumne Meadows as well as the rest of Yosemite is GREAT! But the campground is overcrowded, despite the fact that the amount of people is smaller, and there is no way to reserve anything there until at least the rest of the Summer. Their solution is a bit weird, since they put all the people in loops A and B (some C-loop sites are open also), but the rest of the huge campground is simply empty. As a result, there is no possibility to do any social distancing (whatsoever), restrooms in loops A and B are not clean at all, all sites left and right are occupied. We been to this campground around 20 times within last 20 years, therefore we can actually compare things. To the bright side, the host and rangers are very nice and friendly this year:). Also lots of deers and marmots everywhere:).

Tuolumne Meadows is our most favorite camping location, having visited once or twice a summer for About 45 years. It never fails to inspire. This visit was quite special because the campground was so sparsely occupied, making it even more quiet than usual. To first-time visitors I would highly recommend the visitors center, soda springs, and the scouts cabin

Awesome stay. Park and campground employees super friendly and helpful. Only caution is campground is at 8600 ft and acclimation to altitude can take a few days. We came from sea level and first night was rough.

What a majestic place. It was a beautiful escape from the CA Central Valley heat. The ground were well kept. The restrooms were clean and stocked. The dog leash rules felt a bit extreme, but we do understand. Overall, it was a perfect camping experience.
