What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Great experience overall. Campsites were both awesome and all the renovations are great. Pleasant park staff. We went to the campfire program 3 nights in a row. A memory maker for us. No issues with bears or other campers. There’s nothing like Yosemite!

The campground has undergone a recent upgrade - newly paved, new or upgraded rest rooms, some of the best leveled tent sites we've experienced, new picnic tables and fire rings.. So many fantastic trails from the campground or a short hike/drive. None of the crowding of the Valley. Go enjoy!

All of the sites in the campground are nice, with lots of trees, and are reasonably spaced from each other. Nearly all sites were occupied when we were there (late July), but the campground atmosphere was relaxing and friendly.
The campground is at a great location in the park. Lots to do and see in the area. Even at the height of tourist season, nearby trailheads were not overwhelmed, if you avoided peak times around mid-morning.
The park staff and rangers at and near the campground were always super-nice and helpful.

Campsite and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The location is unbeatable. I wish we could have stayed longer. Store and river are conveniently close within 5 mins walking distance as well as so other many trails with varying difficulty levels. This is by far my favorite campground ever

The upper sites in section G are nice and quiet, just a further walk to the bathrooms

I like the way the campground is so spacious so that one is not right next to someone else. The bear locker was up off the ground and the bathrooms were functioning and very clean. We appreciate those two new additions. My only complaint would be about other campers being loud or playing music from a car radio or bluetooth. Perhaps that could be monitored by park personel more.

crowded, people driving way too fast, fire pit of our campsite was right next to the road.
Quietest day was Saturday b/c so many vacant spots even though Recreation.gov shows it as full.
