What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Great campsite. Our site was large and level. The picnic table was new. Our family loved the nightly group campfires. We saw the programs on bears and nocturnal animals. Both rangers were extremely engaging and informative. We all can’t wait to go back!

Every staff member that we met was friendly and welcoming. Tipping our toes in the river was like heaven. Ice cold heaven. But heaven nonetheless. :)

Many of the spots are too small for Trailer and a Car a good picture could help book the right spot. Overall - a good campground in a very nice spot.

The staff who managed the entrance kiosk were awesome! Especially Lindsay and Papa Dego (nickname) He was a slightly older gentleman who was always working outside the kiosk attending to the cars entering and exiting. Lindsay went out of her way to find additional nights for me and to change my campsite to a more appropriate spot. They were friendly, hard working and very much on the ball. There was a young man in the kiosk and another woman with longer hair who were also very friendly and helpful. Overall I 'd have to say that the staff makes a difference. They had info, posted the weather and gave one a good feeling about being there. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

The renovation looks great! Bathrooms are better too. Wish they would have leveled out the tent camping spaces like they did at Crane Flat. Overall we had a great time. A beautiful place to camp. 😊

To camp in Tuloumne meadows, make sure you get a campsite map at the entrance (it was too neatly kept in a wooden box at the entrance and many might not noticed it). Do take part in a campfire session at the cold night, it is informative and inspirational. You may check the time schedule with park ranger. They are super helpful. I hope I could spend at least a week there since there is a lot to explore.

Great location to catch in some good hiking and beautiful all around with Tenaya Lake near by. The campground was beautiful and quiet.

Beautiful CG location - two late check ins - spotty cell coverage (drive 20mins W on the 120 to Olmstead Point). Was a little confused on the "backpacker CG" versus regular, but that's only b/c we were new to the area AND the wildnerness permit (so that's on us). Once we dialed that in things were super simple. What we LOVED was that each camp spot, regular CG an BP CG, has a bear locker AND a fire ringer. I'd also recommend taking a 5 min walk to the Merced River in the morning. Utterly epic. Divine. I wanna go back already.
