What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Loud neighbors ruined our camping experience
They were up till 1Am.
No host interaction with rude loud neighbor
Place itself is great. Clean bathrooms.

We went in July and loved it. Beautiful area, campground just went through improvement, shady most sites, easy walk to store if needed. We set up a tent, then it rained most of the 1st night. Spot didnt get flooded , no issues. Bear box is big, picnic table brand new, easy walk to the bathroom, new fire ring with 2 grills which actually do not get in your way, unlike most grills in other campsites so no tripping hazard in TM. Only improvement would be add a shelf above all sinks in the bathroom, not just one. Spots spacious considering they are like 300 of them. Friendly host, rangers, everything clean, no noise at 7am to pick up trash either.Camp recycles, even propane. We stayed in most yosemite campgrounds and this one is one of the best. Hiking trails and Tuolumne Meadow few steps away.

We camped at G 11. Great campsite. Beautiful. Lots of Larkspur blooming all around. Only complaint is kind of a long walk to the bathroom, but the bathrooms were clean.

So happy the Tuolumne facilities have been restored and even improved. The lodge is open again after many years, and it is identical to how it looked 50 years ago. I'm so glad for the continuity. The parking at the car camp sites is easy now, no potholes. The backpacker's camp for the first/last day of a trip is new and very nice.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground is so wonderful! Close enough to visit the valley and far enough to be away from the crowds. Wonderful hikes, cooler weather.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground is a beautiful and large campground. Deer freely walk around, and there are amazing birds. Most sites are big enough for a couple of small tents. Some sites are large enough for a sprinter van, although the grade is slight to moderate, not flat. The less busy and quiet environment was much more peaceful than camping in Yosemite Valley. The river and meadow were easy walks from our campsite, and the trailheads were also close by. We drove to Tenaya Lake one morning and enjoyed the refreshing water. The only frustration was that we had to switch to a different site each night of our stay because the sites booked quickly on Recreation.gov. And, when we looked the next morning at the site we moved out of the day before, it was empty! People should have the courtesy to cancel if they don’t need the site, or NPS should require that people confirm the day of their reservation to secure their campsite. Unfortunately, this issue is widespread in many popular campgrounds resulting in empty sites and frustrated campers.
