What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

I love this campground. There are so many amazing trail options nearby and the Tuolumne River is right next to the campground. It is a very different vibe from the valley floor campgrounds.

Campgrounds were clean and newly redone sights were laid out well.

Sight was great, tent area was leveled nicely. Fire ring was a little close to the tent pad, not resulting in a lot of ash on the tent in the mornings.

After the campground was closed for 3 years I would have expected more improvements. I understand that some buildings are historical but we needed more bathrooms and lights in the bathrooms at night.. it also would have been great to have hot water and some shelf to put your stuff on in the bathroom. Also our site was n not planned well with the picnic table on a slant and a big rock that prevented us from walking around the table. Also there was slopes by the table which made it dangerous to walk. There weren't enough signs around the campground to find out site. The trash Bins were also far from our site.
The surrounding area is spectacular and it was so nice to feel the nature. We did the pothole hike along the river to see the cascades and that was special

We were happy with this site - big enough for a 4 person tent, quieter/more private compared to other parts of Tuolumne, and we saw a bear behind the site. Only downside was a long walk to the bathrooms.

E13 is a decent campsite and deep into the camp so relatively secluded. The tent pad is small so plan accordingly.
