Awesome to be able to camp in such an amazingly beautiful place. Though the campground is large, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Staff was helpful.
Hiked the trail to Cathedral Lakes and was not disappointed. Gorgeous!

This was my first stay at the Tuolumne Meadows Campground since it was closed. The changes I observed were subtle but good. I have been spending time in the Tuolumne Meadows Campground area since I was 8 years old. And everything was the same as I always remember it.

Nice, spacious site at the south west edge of the campground. Not too close to neighbors. Adjacent campers were noisy well past 10pm but they were about 30 yards away so it wasn't too bad, this is why you bring earplugs. Right up against the JMT so you can see hikers walking behind the site. Was funny when the trail crew started a chainsaw close by right at 8am.
Mostly shaded site which was nice. The tent areas were nice and flat. Good spot for collecting firewood, easy to find enough each morning and night.

The area was magnificent, and my campsite was spacious. There was a short walk to the bathrooms and water filling station as well as the general store/grill/post office. I had safe/convenient access by walking to some fantastic hiking trails to the lakes and visitor center. I highly recommend this campground.

I had a wonderful time here! I'll start with the negatives: There were some mosquitoes, the area where our tent was supposed to go was littered with pinecones, and the picnic table was a bit tilted. The positives: The campground is in a super secluded area of the park so it's great for stargazing, the bathrooms were very clean, and the campsites are perfectly distanced from each other! The rangers that greeted us when we came were very kind as well. There are numerous hikes in the area that are less than a 10 minute drive from the campground (we did pothole dome) and there are plenty of beautiful meadows. The visitor's center + post office combo nearby also made it very easy to send out postcards!!
