What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Been going there for 25 years before the shutdown, new improvements are a plus, trying to get used to them , the new loop and restroom is awesome. Hopefully we will be able to get a reservation in the 9 seconds that we have to get in for this year! The reservation system has always been a nightmare, maybe open up a few more first come first serve spots, our family tradition of going to Tuolumne has become a stressful mess because of this, if we miss the window of opportunity it changes everything for a family vacation. We have been going since our boys were very young, now they have young children of their own to carry on with the tradition. They missed the opening last year because of the late opener and school starting, hopefully,,, hopefully we can make as a family again this year.. Thanks to all the Rangers and staff as well as Recreation .gov for all you do!! I Brake for Marmots!

I LOVE the campground updates! Because we use ADA sites, I was very impressed to see the new loop that has additional, spacious disabled sites!!! Thank you to whoever imagined these changes!!! We also love how the meadows have been protected by disallowing parking along the highway. Looking forward to next summer when (hopefully) all the construction will be finished and we can once again enjoy our favorite park!!!

Beautiful location. Clean campground. Amazing hikes near the campground. My favorite parts of my stay were the programs. A poetry workshop with poetry readings the weekend I was there and several ranger-led talks and night sky events. High quality staff. Every single staff member I met. Can't wait to go back.

Understanding recreation.gov was very difficult. Luckily the ragers at the booth was able to help us out and found us a site compatible for our needs

Wonderful campground. Please be mindful of sleeping neighbors when you arrive late and be quiet past 10 pm. Bathrooms were great in spite of gvt shutdowns and cutbacks. Roads are paved and dust free. There are many activities with rangers who are dedicated & knowledgeable. Thanks, Tuolumne Meadows staff!!!

The redo of the campground is very nice. But, the site we had was so close to the bathroom that we could hear every flush and saw every time someone walked to the bathroom, the automatic light would go on and blast light into our tent. They absolutely should not have put a campsite so close to the restroom.
