What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Been going there for 25 years before the shutdown, new improvements are a plus, trying to get used to them , the new loop and restroom is awesome. Hopefully we will be able to get a reservation in the 9 seconds that we have to get in for this year! The reservation system has always been a nightmare, maybe open up a few more first come first serve spots, our family tradition of going to Tuolumne has become a stressful mess because of this, if we miss the window of opportunity it changes everything for a family vacation. We have been going since our boys were very young, now they have young children of their own to carry on with the tradition. They missed the opening last year because of the late opener and school starting, hopefully,,, hopefully we can make as a family again this year.. Thanks to all the Rangers and staff as well as Recreation .gov for all you do!! I Brake for Marmots!

The redesign of the campground is not good. You took away a lot of the primo spots near the river. It's almost as if the park staff are anti-people.

Great 4 day/3 night backpack up Rafferty Creek to Vogelsang. Car-camped first night to acclimatize. Found 2 good campsites on Fletcher Lake and Boothe Lake, and mainly day hiked from there. Mid-August so no mosquitos, some streams were dry but still sufficient of water sources, and main waterfalls flowed well.

The new Tuolumne Meadows Campground is excellent. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and the improvements made are top notch. We like this camping location in Yosemite because you can walk to the store and hiking. It's also not as crowded as the valley and the scenery is stunning.

Hiking and rock climbing are the main attractions at Tuolumne meadows. It’s a long drive down to Yosemite valley but worth the drive. Plenty of beautiful scenery at the meadows. Enjoy
