What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Showed up with no reservation on a Thursday afternoon in August, staff at the entrance was very friendly and helped me find a campsite suited to my taste (further in the back, more secluded and closer to hiking trails). The campgrounds are very big but well taken care of and beautiful! Very happy I decided to camp here.

The campground looked fantastic!. I think it had just re-opened since the renovations/work was done on it. We noticed bathrooms that were either new or re-done, pathways through the campground that had been cleared, had bark (or maybe it was just wide dirt paths?) but had good signage, etc. There were also ropes and stakes put up in some places to designate campsites, and overall we were so happy with the work that was done. I'm hoping we humans don't ruin it all too quickly. Tuolumne is a magical place and I hope we can preserve it for many more generations to come!

Sites have great deep fire pits. Nice flush toilets and restroom amenities. Centrally located. The only negative is they should have made the campground roads 2 way instead of 1 way for more efficiency.

Freshly refurbished campground. The sites are small, but nice, and you aren't stacked right on top of your neighbor like in the valley. Pretty heavily tree'd so PV panels aren't real useful. Biggest gripe is the metal fire rings are so tall there is no warmth that comes out of them when you sit around the fire.

Love that Tuolumne Is open again, and we can stay in the high country of Yosemite! The refurbished campground is great, and we were able to walk into the wilderness from our campsite. The entire area is just amazingly beautiful, especially where the two rivers meet near Tuolumne Meadows High Sierra Camp.
