What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Sites are super tiny and very close to each other. Site C074 flat area to put up tent(s) is right next to the parking for this site and site C075. Due to the close proximity to the surrounding sites the campground is very noisy and you get smoked out no matter what. The only good thing about the campground is the location. Other than that I would not recommend it. The signage to get around in the campground is a joke. We got lost multiple times and we observed several other people getting lost and going the wrong way. Ranger came around maybe once a day and did not reminded folks of the campground rules.

It was an amazing experience! The site is incredibly peaceful and quiet. Aside from the beautiful landscape, the campground itself was spotless and very clean, as it just reopened after a renovation. The staff was really friendly, too. Just keep in mind that the restrooms don't have lights. The nearest shop is highly convenient and carries pretty much everything you need.
Tip on arrival: The site signboard on the left is quite small. The main camping sign is actually inside the access road, so it isn't visible until you look directly down the turn-off.

Bathroom kept clean, as were waste and recycling bins...and this during the major July 4 holiday period. I particularly liked, noticed how available ranger staff and volunteers were. I was aware of other campers, yet kept polite distance, were quiet. Mostly amazed at how easy it was to book the reservation- I did it two weeks in advance.

The area was magnificent, and my campsite was spacious. There was a short walk to the bathrooms and water filling station as well as the general store/grill/post office. I had safe/convenient access by walking to some fantastic hiking trails to the lakes and visitor center. I highly recommend this campground.
