What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Tuolumne Meadows is one of my best places to spend summer weekend. I usually go for climbing during a day, and jump into Tenaya Lake after. It is so relaxing and great to spend some time in nature.

This is beautiful area. Additionally this is convenient with great hiking trails, climbing areas, swimming holes, lakes, and a store all very close. The rangers and onsite staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall this was a great experience, the only reason I am not 5-staring this review is that the campgrounds themselves are VERY close which I am not used to. You have no privacy or barrier from your neighbors. Everything else was nice.

Always love returning to the High Sierras and Tuolomne Meadows campgrounds is continually the most pleasant and exhilarating location. The staff is always helpful and utilities are well maintained.

Very supportive and well informed host, despite our late arrival. They helped us understand the importance of bear safety with food storage.

Staff professional. Excellent contact throughout or camping trip. I have been visiting for 70+ years now. I am impressed that facilities are maintained, campground clean, and trails maintained. Litter was non-existent
Thank you for your stewardship of Tuolumne

First time to Yosemite so we were excited to see this part of the country . Try and get a National Park Pass to save time at entry because the rangers will split the lane and get you in quicker if not paying another way. Tuolumne is a big campground with larger RV
vehicles taking the first areas. The tent sites are large and would recommend asking at the entrance for a site closest to the river for water access and that wonderful sound. Although the weather was sunny and warm enough during the day it did freeze during the night so keep some water in your vehicle if you arrive in mid-late September. Saw lots of mule deer and the rock formations and ponds are really special. Enjoy.

It took some serious investigating to finally find the right phone number to call to get a reservation. We had to high-line our horses, which is OK, but other national parks we have taken our horses to have pipe rail paddocks which are much more convenient and limit the area that the horses walk/poop in. However, overall experience was great.
