About Tuolumne Meadows Campground

Tuolumne Meadows Campground recently had a complete overhaul and rehabilitation of the campsites. Please be mindful of young plants and shrubs by keeping all wheels on parking pads and camping equipment within established campsites. Thank you!Tuolumne Meadows Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 8,600 feet. The site is situated along the scenic Tioga Road just five miles from the Tioga Pass Entrance Station. Within Yosemite, visitors can gaze upon waterfalls, sheer granite cliffs, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness areas, and so much more.Reservation Tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov.

Though it is a decently long drive from the valley, there are plenty of really cool hikes to do here, including clouds rest, and cathedral lakes. Very nice campground right on the Tuolumne river and depending on your spot a great view of lambert dome across the river.

Typical campground horror story with obnoxious neighbors who pulled into camp at 1am, drink, loud, and walked into our campsite looking for wood to start a fire. There was no ranger/staff presence to be seen, and ultimately, they all passed out around 3am. Bathrooms were not very close, and I still don’t know where or if they had water. Luckily, we just pulled in, had a quick campfire, and went to bed, to get ready for the next days backpacking trip,

Absolutely one of my very favorite national park campgrounds I have ever stayed in (and I've camped at over half of the 63 official national parks)! Tuolumne Meadows is in a stunning location close to many hikes, lakes and night sky viewing areas the camp is kept beautifully clean, there are rangers and camp hosts always available and everyone there is extremely pleasant to deal with. The C.G. is huge and there are sites really close together but the way it's set up doesn't make you feel crammed. I'm in a campervan and there are plenty of options for nice, level parking. Bathrooms, water and garbage cans are never too far from your site, no matter where you are. And you can't beat the creek running through camp for your morning coffee and wildlife viewing spot. Definitely recommended!

Very kind lady checking us in saw we had young kids and put us in a great, quiet pitch by the river. So nice to have a silent campground with no music or generators around us. Thank you so so much.
