What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

The multi-year renovation could have improved/modernized the bathrooms. That’s it, that’s my only complaint. This is a perfect campground in a perfect location for families or serious hikers. Verizon cell service in the A loop might be possible due to reception from the Tuolumne Lodge… but it won’t be fast. Enjoy your trip!

Surprisingly able to fit 6 personal tents, shady, able to squeeze in 2 cars, lots of flies and bugs though

This was our first time here since the campground has been refurbished. We had a wonderful stay even though we didn't realize that potable water was only to be had by the restrooms. I don't remember it being that way in years past, and I didn't see anything about that on the website.
Thanks for keeping it beautiful!

Running water on the toilets, sinks and water fill ups but nothing else. No sink to wash dishes in. No power for lights or showers. Many of the camp sites are on uneven surfaces. Very cool how big the grounds are and how many people can stay. Staff was friendly, and fellow campers were respectful. If your goal is to go to Yosemite Valley it’s a very long drive so just keep that in mind.

Fantastic campground. Perfect location for exploring the park. Walking distance to the river with a great hike. Friendly hosts.

The new campsites seem a little smaller than the old ones. pristine new picnic tables. I like that the campsites have been moved away from the river.
CD059 is a bit of a walk up from the parking but really no problem. I had no rain but the flattest spot of the campsite where I put my tent may be a depression for water accumulation.
What a beautiful place!

Compared to down in Yosemite Valley, the sites were more spread out. We appreciated the work to level the ground for the tent pads. We loved the trails and the ability to park our car in one place. We wish the shuttles would pass by more often.

This is easily my favorite campground in Yosemite so far. The car-to-campsite access is incredibly convenient with parking nearby, and the site offers plenty of space for a tent and all our gear. The tent area and fire pit were excellent and well-maintained. I would love to come back and spend even more nights at Tuolumne Meadows!
