What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Great area of Yosemite to stay in and the renovations to the campground are very well done. The hike to Cathedral Lakes is a good one, about 4.4 miles one-way from the campground.

Beautiful and clean campgrounds. Access to free charging for your vehicle was huge! Will come back during season!

The campground was clean, quiet, and gorgeous! Having barely secured a spot when reservations open, the initial selected campsite was on a pronouced slant and not level for tent or car camping. Luckily the next morning, the rangers helped me relocate to an just-opened-up-due-to-cancellation site with level areas and even more open space for star gazing and beautiful nature.

Beautiful campground, and great people working there. I would give a higher rating except for the motorhomes starting up early in the morning and letting their engines run for 30 minutes or more. This created exhaust that I was forced to breath if I didn't get up and move away from my campsite. But it was very cold and damp and I really didn't want to get up that early. Please put all camper vans and motorhomes in one part of the campground and not next to people who are tent or car camping. You could also change the hours so they could not run motors until after 8:30am.

Enjoyed camping at this site. The campfire ring was a bit far from the picnic table. The site is close to water source, not too far from the bathrooms (2), has 2 tent spots. Close to the next campsite (46).

Everyone was helpful and friendly. Campfires and other programs were excellent-fun and informative. Site A39 turned out to be a great site FOR ME. It’s a bit quirky-with the table, fire ring and tent pad on different levels, but plenty of space for a medium tent and two cars. Best part of the site is the location-low traffic, not too close to bathrooms or garbage cans, close to the river, far from Tioga Rd, an easy walk to the entrance and store, and not right on top of other campsites. I’ll try to book this exact site again.

So glad TM campground is open again! This is one of our favorite CGs, mostly due to the surrounding beauty. I think they did a great job of the renovation. Seems fresh, but still very traditional.
