What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Everyone was helpful and friendly. Campfires and other programs were excellent-fun and informative. Site A39 turned out to be a great site FOR ME. It’s a bit quirky-with the table, fire ring and tent pad on different levels, but plenty of space for a medium tent and two cars. Best part of the site is the location-low traffic, not too close to bathrooms or garbage cans, close to the river, far from Tioga Rd, an easy walk to the entrance and store, and not right on top of other campsites. I’ll try to book this exact site again.

So glad TM campground is open again! This is one of our favorite CGs, mostly due to the surrounding beauty. I think they did a great job of the renovation. Seems fresh, but still very traditional.

Had a great 2 night stay, good facilities , helpful staff and enjoyable evening Ranger talk.
Only problem was difficulty booking same site for 2 nights via website. This necessitated relocating camp for night two.

The new campground is excellent, restrooms are very clean and sites are up to date. No more ruts in the road or muddy pools on the road. There should be more hooks in the restrooms for coats, and toiletries, etc. but other than that the updates are great. the Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. and fun to hang out with. They are also very patient with pissy visitors. The work to plant more grasses on certain construction sites is ongoing. Most important, there are plenty of bear boxes!

I have visited Yosemite many times yet I had never stayed at Tuolumne Meadows. The sites were well marked and clean. The bathrooms are amazing for a campground, and the staff were all very friendly (of course they are they work in Yosemite). I really loved my stay. I will return.

I love the way they've made the riverside road a trail, and when they take down the ropes now protecting certain areas, it will be really nice.
On the other hand, the site we got (A41) was right next to both the bathroom (flsuhing)and the trash cans (banging) and the water spigot.
We were kept up much of the night by the noises

The remodeled campsite was great. It will be even better once I label the loops. It was very challenging to find my campsite because none of the roads had labels. Even though we kept all our food in the bear locker, we discovered a mouse in our car as we were finishing packing up to leave.
