What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Our campsite A09 was spacious, and the parking space was actually about 40 ft. However, there's not much of a gap between the trees, and the campsite is surrounded by others in the same loop. I would be glad to choose this campsite again.
The big problem was smoke. The AQI was very high due to the Garnett fire and we left early.
I will recommend all the ranger talks and walks, including the campfire. Fascinating stuff they presented.

This campground is in a spectacular area. It’s hard to beat the views from just outside the campground. While the campground is huge, the layout of the sites in a forest of good-sized trees allows some feeling of privacy. The facilities are clean and nice, although they are usually busy. The check-in process was smooth and we were provided useful information on rules (especially fires and proper food storage). If you are tent camping, like we were, be prepared for chilly nights in early-mid September.

Campsites are in excellent condition including picnic bench, fire-pit and bear proof boxes. Bathrooms had running water and were clean. Peaceful setting.

The buttermilk pancakes at the TM grill are huge, easily enough for two persons to share.
I wasnt to thrilled with the work they did to loop A. The double wide road that went in takes away from the intimacy of the campsites along the river.

Tuolumne Meadows is magical - even though the reservation system feels impossible and sometimes you get a site near an 'idiot' (definitions vary), it's a wonderful place to camp.

The staff who managed the entrance kiosk were awesome! Especially Lindsay and Papa Dego (nickname) He was a slightly older gentleman who was always working outside the kiosk attending to the cars entering and exiting. Lindsay went out of her way to find additional nights for me and to change my campsite to a more appropriate spot. They were friendly, hard working and very much on the ball. There was a young man in the kiosk and another woman with longer hair who were also very friendly and helpful. Overall I 'd have to say that the staff makes a difference. They had info, posted the weather and gave one a good feeling about being there. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
