What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Wonderful campground. My only concern was understaffing, which leads to more people not understanding how to behave in order to protect and preserve the area. The staff I did interact with were great, professional, and friendly.

Camp sites are closely packed together and most are on uneven surface. Still a beautiful campsite just gotta choose your site wisely. It’s perfect if you’re exploring Tuolumne side. It’s a long drive to get to the Valley.

Guys, I've camped there several times. Ranger ?? at the kiosk entrance finally clued me in that I have a Senior Lifetime pass and camping would only be $16 a night. Thanks much.

Wonderful campsite with great amount of space between surrounding campsites and other neighbors. Extremely peaceful and relaxing space for a great quiet getaway surrounded by nature.

This is a spacious campsite that has everything you need to explore Tuolomme Meadows. It’s quiet and feels pretty private. Took one star off because is it’s a long walk to the bathrooms, up a steep hill to get there which is rough in the middle of the night (and no soap so make sure to bring your own).

Great site for our party of 5. Fit three tents easily, one being super large. Easily could have fit another tent if needed. Easy walk to river as well as store as well as to lembert dome for nightly sunsets. It was located at top of small gravel road off of the main paved road so no passing cars or people which was nice. And backed up to forest for partial privacy. I walked the new H loop and have to say those newer sites were nice. Backed up against the forest as well and much more grass than in the A loop. More “meadowy”. And seemed more private. Only thing is A loop is closer to river which is nice. In the end all sites have their ups and downs. Spend most of your day out exploring and it won’t matter. Then choose a site that makes sense to your desired proximity to the river and lembert dome for sunsets. New roads are paved so bring bikes and scooters for the kids. Even skateboards will make do. We had the best time! Rangers were great!
