What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Simply amazing. The best part of our trip to Yosemite.

Enjoyed a fine campsite in this iconic location. Very quiet/peaceful. A short walk to the well-stocked Tuolumne Meadows Store.

Fantastic location, within hiking distance of Visitor Center, Cathedral, Soda Springs, and both Dana and Lyell rivers as well as the market. Campground was nicely laid out, lots of variety, very clean and ample restrooms, etc. SUPER kudos to the rangers on duty when we checked in and out - they were knowledgeable about campsites, fishing opportunities, hiking trails, etc., very personable and we felt really welcomed. Would stay here again on any trip.

The experience was great overall, the typical NPS campground experience. I have one gripe: our campground was located next to the employee yurts. Overall not an issue - but one night (a Wed or Thurs), a group of employees decided to have a party until 1:30-2:00 am and made a considerable amount of noise, enough to keep us and our young kids awake. I find it very frustrating that the park's own employees would not respect the quiet hours of the campground (10 pm to 6 am) in which they stay or have any concern towards the experience of the paying guests.

Tuolumne Meadows is our favorite Yosemite campground in the summer. The access to High Sierra hiking trails is superb. After a long day of hiking, there's nothing better than a dip in the Tuolumne River just outside the campground. The ranger programs, including evening campfire programs and guided hikes, are wonderful.

Camp was fairly empty due to 50% capacity. Quiet and not much traffic on the trails. We had the equestrian camp almost to ourselves. The store was not open the first 5 days and the grill never opened while we were there. We were able to restock a few items finally.
Trails were in good shape and we enjoyed riding and hiking to Gaylor Lake, Cathedral Lake, Glen Aulin, Elizabeth Lake and Lyell Canyon. We took a drive to Olmstead Point one day which was beautiful. There was quite a bit of traffic due to construction. All in all it was a fantastic trip.
