What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

It was a great campground, new amenities, and friendly staff. We had a hike in campsite and it wasn’t a bad walk at all. The only problem was that the previous campers didn’t extinguish their fire before leaving, but when I told the ranger at the check in hut about it, they came up immediately and doused it for me. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will definitely come back.

One of the prettiest locations in the US. Lovely campground.

We had space 28, which was a very good choice. It was a huge spot and it had room for multiple tents and we were far enough away from the neighbors that they did not bother us. It was about a two minute walk to the restrooms, which was just right and the potable water was at the restrooms. The whole campground was very nice, including the rangers.

Staff / volunteers at check in were great and helpful. Efficient but still gave us all the info we needed.
Campground was clean and well maintained. Plus Tuolumne Meadows and surrounding area was some of the best hiking we did while in Yosemite. (Try the Elizabeth Lake hike.)

loved how dark and quiet the campground was. Also the bathrooms were wonderful - and liked that the lights were not on during the night and we had to use headlamps. That really added to the darkness and star viewing!
